Get Excited For Spring!

Spring is officially here and you can bet that during the ensuing weeks the rest of the winter weather is going to take it’s leave and before you know it we will be baking in the hot summer sun. Springtime is the perfect time to get a bit of spring -cleaning done as well as to get out and enjoy the sunshine while the temps are still mild and enjoyable. Springtime always brings with it a sense of newness and renewal. Here are a few ideas that are bound to give you Spring Fever!
Plan a romantic date with your sweetie to welcome in spring. With all the flowers blooming now might be a perfect time to visit a beautiful garden or other public venue that houses blooming flowers. Head outside. No more using the wintertime blues as an excuse not to exercise. Go on a walk and get some fresh air or take a bike ride with your honey. The warmer weather is a great time to get outside and shed those extra winter pounds.
Add some vibrant color to your wardrobe. After a long winter of wearing dark and drab sweaters now is the perfect chance to add a pop of bright color to your wardrobe with a pretty top or even a bright sundress that you can enjoy all summer long. Be bold and buy some pretty new lingerie pieces in springtime colors as well—even if only you know what you’re wearing it will still definitely help you shed the wintertime blahs.

Do some underwear drawer Spring cleaning. Even though some of your most comfy favorites might be wearing out—don’t hesitate to throw them out if the time has come. If an item has holes, worn out elastic, stains or tears—it’s probably time to chuck it. Splurge on some new and sexy bras and panties—it will make you feel pretty and your partner is bound to appreciate your new sexy look as well. An after-shopping fashion show might even be a fun way to get you both excited about your new lingerie.
Plant a vegetable garden. If you don’t have a lot of room in your yard or even if you just have a patio many vegetables can be grown successfully in pots. Tomatoes are a favorite item to grow at home and come August you will be thrilled that you took the time to nurture your veggie garden. Not only do home -grown veggies taste better but your little garden may even save you a few bucks as well. If a vegetable garden isn’t your thing, perhaps a flower or indoor herb garden might be. Watching things grow can be very fun and rewarding.

Go Fly a Kite. If you live near the beach this is the perfect place to go and fly a kite—otherwise any open space will do. Take advantage of those spring breezes and let your kite soar! It will make you feel like you are 10 again and you will be wondering why you didn’t try it sooner. If your kite doesn’t take off right away-don’t despair—have fun and just enjoy your day.
Zoos are not just for kids. There is something magical about getting up close and personal with wild animals or even heading out to your local aquarium to spend some time watching the mesmerizing fish.
Go bird watching! Birds are now migrating north so there are an abundance of them out and flying about. If you prefer to bring the birds to you, get a bird or a hummingbird feeder and put it in your yard. Before you know it your yard will be filled with birds (and many of their fine feathered friends) and you will be able to enjoy watching their natural beauty as well as enjoy the magical springtime sound of chirping birds.
